OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a critical facility carrying on the operation of a critical facility shall make an application in Form C to the State Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a critical facility is undertaken, and the State Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
