OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding is to be regulated under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form A to the Development Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the display of advertisements is undertaken, and the Development Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
