STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form C to the Housing Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that occupancy certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Housing Board within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
