STANDING ORDER

All Health Officers,

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Housing Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form D to the Municipal Council within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Health Officer shall ensure that vending certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Municipal Council within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Gujarat.
