OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the working of a distillery by distillers is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form E to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a distillery is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
