STANDING ORDER

To

All Drugs Inspectors,

Subject: The import of drugs by importers of drugs under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1949), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of drugs by importers of drugs.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of drugs carrying on the import of drugs shall make an application in Form 20-B to the Licensing Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Drugs Inspector shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
