OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of drugs by licensees under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the sale of drugs by licensees is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of drugs shall make an application in Form 41 to the Appropriate Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of drugs is undertaken, and the Appropriate Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
