STANDING ORDER
To
All Assessors,
Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form E to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Assessor shall ensure that notice of demolition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
