New Delhi, dated the 13th February, 2016

STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person removing earth from Government land carrying on the removal of earth from Government land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Land Tribunal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
