STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1950 (Andhra Pradesh Act 21 of 1950), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 7 to the Tahsildar within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
