STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Superintendents,

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within ten days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Superintendent shall ensure that excisable article is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
