STANDING ORDER

To

All Cantonment Executive Officers,

Subject: The operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a firing range carrying on the operation of a firing range shall make an application in Form H to the Station Commander within three days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Cantonment Executive Officer shall ensure that lease deed is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
