New Delhi, dated the 24th April, 2015

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The use of water for industry by users of water for industry under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the use of water for industry by users of water for industry is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water for industry carrying on the use of water for industry shall make an application in Form C to the Canal Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of water for industry is undertaken, and the Canal Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
