STANDING ORDER
To
All Director Generals,
Subject: Dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall make an application in Form II to the Heritage Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Director General shall ensure that guest register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Heritage Committee within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
