STANDING ORDER

To

All Anganwadi Supervisors,

Subject: The provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every service provider carrying on the provision of services to aggrieved persons shall make an application in Form II to the District Magistrate within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Anganwadi Supervisor shall ensure that complaint is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Magistrate within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
