STANDING ORDER

To

All Assessors,

Subject: The ownership of a building by owners of a building under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (Maharashtra Act 37 of 1966), the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the ownership of a building by owners of a building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building carrying on the ownership of a building shall make an application in Form G to the Town Vending Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that street is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
