STANDING ORDER

All Estate Officers,

Subject: The maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1972), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facility management agency carrying on the maintenance of a housing complex shall make an application in Form G to the Rent Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Estate Officer shall ensure that rent receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Controller within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
