STANDING ORDER

To

All Circles Inspector of Excise,

Subject: The sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall make an application in Form B to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
