OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The production of agricultural produce by producers under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the production of agricultural produce by producers is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every producer carrying on the production of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form H to the Market Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the production of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Market Committee shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
