STANDING ORDER

To

All Transparency Officers,

Subject: The hearing of appeals by appellate authorities under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2012), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the hearing of appeals by appellate authorities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every appellate authority carrying on the hearing of appeals shall make an application in Form H to the State Information Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Transparency Officer shall ensure that register of requests is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Information Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
