STANDING ORDER

To

All Certifying Officers,

Subject: The manufacture of assistive devices by manufacturers of assistive devices under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 45 of 1994), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of assistive devices by manufacturers of assistive devices.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of assistive devices carrying on the manufacture of assistive devices shall make an application in Form IV to the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Certifying Officer shall ensure that identity card is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
