STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Education Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 2 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
