STANDING ORDER

To

All Health Officers,

Subject: The import of drugs by importers of drugs under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1949), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of drugs by importers of drugs.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of drugs carrying on the import of drugs shall make an application in Form 25 to the Director of Health Services within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Health Officer shall ensure that medical device is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Health Services within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
