STANDING ORDER

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 (Rajasthan Act 15 of 1956), the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan.
