STANDING ORDER

All Case Workers,

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a school by schools.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form VIII to the Commission within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Case Worker shall ensure that order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
