STANDING ORDER

To

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The holding of trust property on lease by lessees of trust property under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of trust property on lease by lessees of trust property.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of trust property carrying on the holding of trust property on lease shall make an application in Form G to the Registrar of Societies within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that trust property is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Societies within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Odisha.
