STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Superintending Archaeologists,

Subject: The operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall make an application in Form IV to the Director General within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Deputy Superintending Archaeologist shall ensure that antiquity is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director General within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
