OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form IV to the District Child Protection Unit within three days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a children's home is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Goa.
