OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of poisons by licensees for the sale of poisons under the Karnataka Police Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the sale of poisons by licensees for the sale of poisons is to be regulated under the Karnataka Police Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee for the sale of poisons carrying on the sale of poisons shall make an application in Form VII to the Superintendent of Police within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of poisons is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
