STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Fire Services within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that hazard map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
