STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of hazardous chemicals carrying on the transport of hazardous chemicals shall make an application in Form D to the National Executive Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that evacuation plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala.
