OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in wild animal articles carrying on dealing in wild animal articles shall make an application in Form V to the State Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in wild animal articles is undertaken, and the State Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
