STANDING ORDER
To
All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,
Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp.
2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form H to the Excise Commissioner within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Commissioner within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
