OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of irrigated land carrying on the irrigation of land from a canal shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the irrigation of land from a canal is undertaken, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
