STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors,

Subject: The carrying on of business by persons carrying on business under the Bombay Money-Lenders Act, 1946, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Money-Lenders Act, 1946 (Maharashtra Act 31 of 1946), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the carrying on of business by persons carrying on business.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on business carrying on the carrying on of business shall make an application in Form D to the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Inspector shall ensure that account of sales is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
