STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Officers,

Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form F to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab.
