STANDING ORDER

All Registering Officers,

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955 (Andhra Pradesh Act 4 of 1955), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form III to the Board of Film Certification within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Registering Officer shall ensure that set-top box is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Film Certification within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
