STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall make an application in Form 3 to the Gram Sabha within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that register of buildings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Sabha within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan.
