STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form B to the State Authority within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that no-objection certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
