STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Engineers,

Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Information Technology Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form A to the Canal Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Engineer shall ensure that canal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Canal Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Rajasthan.
