OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform under the Kerala Education Act, 1958, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Education Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the imparting of education by electronic means by operators of an online education platform is to be regulated under the Kerala Education Act, 1958.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an online education platform carrying on the imparting of education by electronic means shall make an application in Form G to the District Education Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the imparting of education by electronic means is undertaken, and the District Education Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Kerala.
