STANDING ORDER

All Executive Officers,

Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Andhra Pradesh Act 35 of 2001), the Information Technology Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the performance of rituals in a temple by archakas.

2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form B to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Executive Officer shall ensure that trust property is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
