STANDING ORDER
To
All Gram Sevaks,
Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 1 to the Director of Panchayats within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. The Gram Sevak shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Panchayats within twenty-one days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
