STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form D to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
