OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall make an application in Form B to the National Executive Committee within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a dam in an emergency is undertaken, and the National Executive Committee shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
