STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha.
