STANDING ORDER

To

All Executive Officers,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Finance Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Executive Officer shall ensure that audit report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
