OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The collection of stamp duty by authorised collection centres under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the collection of stamp duty by authorised collection centres is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every authorised collection centre carrying on the collection of stamp duty shall make an application in Form A to the Sub-Registrar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of stamp duty is undertaken, and the Sub-Registrar shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan.
