OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries is to be regulated under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999.
2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 41 to the Controller General of Accounts within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt and payment of Government moneys is undertaken, and the Controller General of Accounts shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
