STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Police,

Subject: The keeping of a printing press by keepers of a printing press under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 1999), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a printing press by keepers of a printing press.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall make an application in Form I to the Commissioner of Police within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Inspector of Police shall ensure that poison is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Police within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
